Dear CPoW members and friends, Happy New Year to everyone! We have great expectations for 2004. It is at this time of the year that many of us formulate new (or renew forgotten or unmet) goals that we hope to achieve before this same time next year. While it is very important to plan for whatever we want to accomplish, it is even more important to actually put those plans into action. All too often, we may have a great objective but that's where it ends. Perhaps the best "resolution" we can set for ourselves would be to honor our resolutions! Early American preacher Jonathan Edwards formulated a number of resolutions for himself while yet a young man. Wisely, his first resolution was to review the list every day to remind himself of what he promised to do. Now that we have passed through the wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, we must prepare ourselves for what lies ahead in 2004. The first order of business must be CPoW membership renewal. Each year on January 1st, a new CPoW membership period begins. I have enclosed a copy of the 2004 CPoW Membership form for your convenience. Please take a moment to look it over as you are reading the next portion of my letter. We have made some changes to the membership structure. Please notice that annual membership dues have increased for both individuals and families. We trust this modest increase will not be a discouragement to anyone or prevent anyone from continuing with CPoW membership. The new annual membership dues are $30 for individual membership and $50 for family membership. (If you have already sent in your dues using the old dues rates, please send along the increase difference.) And speaking of old dues rates, it would be very helpful to all of us if you would destroy all old membership forms you may have. Please don't try to "update" an old form with new information; just follow the maxim "out with the old and in with the new" - because the annual membership dues increase is not the only change we have made! Regardless of what level/type of membership you choose, it is important that you choose TODAY! We are counting on your membership as we plan the many projects we want to take on this year - so send your membership application, appropriate dues and anything above and beyond that you can in TODAY! Our opponents are not waiting for us to put together a "battle plan" or "recruit"; they are busy right now putting their own plans together. Show them you mean business - join the CPoW TODAY!! 2004, of course, is a Presidential Election year. The Constitution Party will, once again, be fielding a Presidential candidate in the Fall election. The process for determining who that will be, what the platform will contain, etc. begins very soon. If you are interested in becoming an official Wisconsin delegate to June's CP Presidential Nominating Convention in Valley Forge, PA, we need to receive your Self-Nomination form NLT February 17, 2004. To be considered, you must be a current, dues-paying CPoW member in good standing. The format is simple: name, address and a brief biography (in case you are unfamiliar to some on the State Committee). Everyone who wishes to be considered must submit a form. Please send your Self-Nomination form to us soon so we have it before the cut-off date arrives. Thank you so much for what you have done and will continue to do to ensure the CPoW is active, growing and significant in the political landscape, both at the local and state levels. We look forward to the many battles we will be fighting and winning this year. Together, we can achieve great things toward our goal to Restore the Republic. May we hear from you TODAY? For God and County, Randy W. Hamby - State
Chairman
